This is an illustration of a group of Chinese American school children. The book is geared towards middle school students so I hope these kids looks about that age. By the way, my son attends Galileo School of Science and Technology, though he shines me on nowadays. I'm the chairperson of the Galileo school site council. My daughter attendsMarina middle school.
